I’m Josh Emfield, an Army and Air Force veteran, Military Resiliency Trainer, and full-blown jump and dunk fanatic. I’ve spent years helping people overcome some of life’s toughest challenges—and I realized something big: sometimes the best way to reach people, especially the next generation, is through something fun, high-energy, and straight-up awesome. That’s where basketball came in.

My son Leandro—12 years old, full of hustle, and already building that entrepreneur mindset—has been my right-hand man since day one. The kid LOVES basketball, is always down for a jump workout, and when I said, “Hey, let’s build something cool that helps people fly,” he was all in. Together, we came up with the name Dunk School—because it’s more than just throwing down dunks. It’s about learning, grinding, growing, and leveling up on and off the court.

But we knew we couldn’t have a Dunk School without a Dunk Bus. So we found the perfect ride: a retro 1975 beast of a bus, sitting in Las Vegas. We booked a flight from Pleasant Grove, Utah, rolled the dice, and drove that bad boy home. Let’s just say…the adventure was real. The gas gauge didn’t work (yep, we ran out—multiple times), the engine gave out halfway through, and by some miracle—plus a gas can, a few prayers, and questionable faith—we made it back to Utah. Barely. The bus died again in the middle of an intersection, but somehow, we limped it home.
